Building spaces that matter since we first opened our doors in Vancouver
Look, we're not gonna feed you some corporate line about "synergizing visions" or whatever. Here's the real deal - we started Dragon Vyne because we got tired of seeing Vancouver's landscape filled with cookie-cutter buildings that looked impressive in renderings but felt soulless when you actually walked through them.
Our crew's been designing commercial spaces and homes across BC for years now, and we've learned that the best projects happen when you actually listen. Like, really listen - not just nod while thinking about your next design award. Whether it's a tech startup needing flexible workspace downtown or a family wanting their dream home in North Van, we dig into what makes each project tick.
The sustainability angle? That's not marketing speak for us. We genuinely believe buildings should work with their environment, not against it. Plus, it just makes financial sense - why design something that'll cost a fortune to heat and cool?
A quick look at the milestones that shaped our studio
Started in a cramped office space on Granville with three designers and way too much coffee. Our first project was a 2,000 sq ft retail renovation that almost didn't happen because of permit delays.
Landed our first commercial tower project in downtown Vancouver. It was nerve-wracking but taught us how to handle complex stakeholder relationships and tight deadlines.
Completed our first LEED Platinum certified building. This changed everything for us - we realized sustainable design wasn't just an add-on, it had to be fundamental.
Moved to our current West Hastings location and doubled our team. Finally had enough space for proper model-making and those impromptu brainstorming sessions that actually lead somewhere.
Took on our first heritage restoration in Gastown. Working with century-old structures taught us patience and respect for the craftsmanship that came before us.
Hit 200 completed projects and started mentoring young architects. We're also diving deeper into mass timber construction - it's the future and we're here for it.
The folks who turn sketches into reality
Principal Architect
Been with us since day one. Sarah's got this uncanny ability to see solutions where everyone else sees problems. Specializes in commercial work and keeps us all on track.
Senior Designer
Our residential guru. Marcus has designed over 80 homes and somehow remembers details about every single one. Coffee addict and model train enthusiast.
Sustainability Lead
Priya joined us in 2018 and completely transformed how we approach green building. She'll challenge every material choice (in a good way) and knows building codes better than anyone.
We're always up for grabbing coffee and hearing about your project. No pressure, no sales pitch - just a real conversation about what you're trying to build.
